This week, the Philippines is simultaneously celebrating the Christmas season while mourning the hundreds of victims of typhoon Sendong in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City.  I think the gift of true giving has been handed to all of us, that we may open not just our wallets but our hearts, and work together to care for each other.

Most of us already have more than we need, so instead of buying useless gifts that inadvertently get “recycled”, we could just make a gift donation to help those who really need, and would greatly appreciate, anything we have to offer.  All over facebook, twitter and other social media, people are sharing ways in which we can all help the victims of Sendong.  I’ve compiled what I found from my personal contacts.  Please feel free to repost this:
