We all have our favorite tools of the trade and mine has absolutely nothing to do with speed or efficiency–although this happens to be very efficient and in mint condition. And while my bought-as-new Juki sewing machines are ever reliable, this is the one I love the most. Maybe it’s the fact that this 1950’s sewing machine (which Ito gifted me with when I started designing) is a lovely shade of vintage Chevrolet light-blue, trimmed with chrome and accented with a very pretty art nouveau detail? Or maybe it’s just the fact that it’s called “Princess”? Who knows, but it would inspire me even if it couldn’t sew a stitch, LOL! 🙂

When I visited one of the oldest Vigan mansions, what caught my eye was the brand of their wood-fired oven: Princess! Art Nouveau scrolls surrounded the nameplate on the oven door. Am wondering if it’s the same company that made your lovely vintage sewing machine. The powder blue chrome finish is so evocative of the 50’s. 🙂
How cool–a wood-fired oven! I’ve been wanting one of those–I wonder if it could it make good pizza? It sounds like it would be the same brand.
