Not all puddles are to be avoided…some of them make the prettiest pictures! When searching for inspiration, the best things to train your eyes on are not always what people ‘look up to’–the glamorous, the celebrated, the pristine–but sometimes are the things we fail to see because they are right under our noses, quite literally. This photo I took of a reflection of a gorgeous baroque palace amidst the worn out cobblestones in Piazza Navona, Rome, puts things into better perspective: You never know what unexpected beauty you’ll find until you take the time to look around.

That is too pretty. And what a lovely insight! Must look around some more, it’s easy to be distracted nowadays by overtly flashy things 🙂
Yeah! It’s surprising what things you’ll see when you ‘retrain’ your eyes to notice small things again 🙂
