Sorry for not having posted for some time. Last week was spent enjoying some quality time with family and celebrating my brother, John’s, birthday. We decided to head back to Singapore, because although Ito and I had just been there for my birthday last October, it would be my Mom & John’s first time in the Garden City for longer than a stopover.
We stayed for 8 days, and surprisingly found ourselves with lots to do playing tourist–from lounging in the cabanas poolside at our hotel, to enjoying “The Art of the Brick” Lego exhibit in the nearby ArtScience Museum, to exploring the sprawling Gardens by the Bay, to screaming during the rides in Universal Studios, to humming along to the songs in “Jersey Boys”, and to eating and shopping (and eating again!) anywhere and everywhere we went.
Family time is love, and enjoying with the people who matter most to us in the world is a true blessing 🙂 Sharing some pics from our first few days…
Fresh orchids greet us at the lobby of our hotel
Cooling down from the heat in poolside cabanas
Sunny days and beautiful views
Loving the food a little too much–no dieting allowed while on vacation!
John busily photographing the sights
Lego family portrait at the ArtScience Museum (squint when looking at this pic!)
At the nearby “Art of the Brick” exhibit
Walking around and catching the light & water show at Marina Bay
Back in our room enjoying the view
Off to a great start on our vacation! 🙂
