There’s just something so wonderfully free-spirited, creative and individual about DIY projects that I’ve always loved, just like my friend Candy and (her brand-new-husband) JP’s, highly-personalized, crafty, nature-hugging wedding. What makes DIY projects so memorable, whether it’s planning a wedding or setting up a home, are the one-of-a-kind touches and little idiosyncratic elements that make something–anything–distinctively you. In an age of mass production and global commercialism, it’s wonderful to be able to take part in something special, and to remember the things that make each and every one of us unique and one-of-a-kind 🙂

Specially designing a tea dress for good friend (& guest), Yael, with a customized, hand-painted print

Fitting for a very unique bride–it’s not every day that a good friend asks for a bridal gown that she can bike in!

Cutting beautiful figures on their bikes while cutting down on their carbon footprint. Congratulations again, Mr. & Mrs. Alipio 🙂 (Thank you, Rachel Warren, for this lovely pic that I grabbed! ;-))
