For the holiday celebrations, what says “festive” more than a little red dress? Sexy, vampy, fun, flirty…the little red dress always makes a statement, and it isn’t “I’m a wallflower”. Fellow designers Louis Claparrols, Sassa Jimenez and myself were invited to redesign the little red dress and give it our own personal touch in collaboration with beauty company Avon. My dress designs focused on mixing soft shapes with strong color, and creating a look that was bold but not brazen. These designs were created for the launch of Avon’s latest bold, passionate fragrance aptly named “The Little Red Dress” (which, by the way, smells delicious! *On a side note, this is actually the third time that I’ve worked with Avon since I started designing, beginning with a dress design for their “Little Black Dress ” perfume that I did years ago, and last year as one of their ‘beauty muses’ for their Ultra Color Rich Mega Impact lipstick. Needless to say, they are one of my favorite companies to collaborate with–truly the company for women 🙂
