Addicted to Red Lips

Tomorrow is February, and we might as well face it, we’re addicted to love. And to all things red, crimson, scarlet, vermillion, rose, ruby, wine, coral, cerise, cardinal and carmine (I checked my thesaurus, as you can tell). A not-by-the-book look–inspiration is everywhere! Random snapshots of things found around the city that get the creative juices flowing… “The Trees”, Reynato Paz Still one of my all-time favorite pieces of public sculpture in Bonifacio Global City, this life-sized metal sculpture of intertwined trees sits at the center of Burgos Circle. People walk around it, kids & dogs play under it, birds fly through it…it’s a piece that invites everyone to touch and interact with it instead of merely admiring it from afar. Lazy Sundays

Sundays are the perfect days for sleeping in, lazing around, reading a book, or doing absolutely nothing at all. Like a palate-cleansing sorbet, Sundays are purifying and refreshing, clearing out the residual energies of the past week in preparation for the week to come. Favorite Fashion Illustrations

Speaking of fashion illustrations, Christian Lacroix has one of my all-time favorite styles of illustrating (not to mention designing–I was so sad when he closed shop!). His sketches are flights of the imagination, colorful, whimsical, almost like doodles, and they never fail to inspire me.
